Melvin Adrian Townsend was born to the late Mary Frances Townsend Gray and Elvin Gails on August 2, 1960.

Mr. Townsend is affectionately known as “Fatso” departed this life on February 10, 2022.

To know Fatso was to love Fatso. He was a son, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother. We love you and will miss you for the rest of our lives.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories: One son Adrian Luckey and wife Janet, four grandkids, one great-grandson, four sisters, Margerite Carter, Elvia Townsend, Nancy Saint Jules, Birdie Gails, two brothers Elvin Townsend, Vincent Townsend, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends.

Those who preceded him in death were: his parents, three brothers, Charles Townsend, Lawrance Townsend, Joseph Harker, one sister Erma Townsend Norman.
