Obituary
Mr. Herman Smith was born as a fraternal twin to James Howard Smith and Leola Washington on March 5, 1954, in Waldo, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by both parents, Sister (Geneva Washington) and Brothers (Victor Washington and Laddie Washington).
Herman graduated from Waldo High School in 1972. Prior to graduating, He married Linda Curry in April of 1972 in New Boston, Texas. He later moved his family to Dallas, Texas, where he worked at American Steele. They had two (2) children, (Kisha Fears and Lakeitha Smith). They ended their union several years later in Dallas, Texas.
Herman then relocated to Houston, Texas to be closer to his mother, sisters and brothers. He began employment as a driver for Grocer’s Supply and a Mobile Mechanic. He assisted family and friends with any necessary car repairs. He left his occupation as a driver and became self-employed.
Herman was a strong-willed man who never met a stranger. He was a jack of all trades, there was nothing that he could not tinker with and get it up and running. His passion was his family, working on cars and being there for everyone. He loved his siblings, family, friends very much and was a great protector to those he loved.
He leaves to forever cherish his memory, his two daughters Kisha (Bernard Fears) (TX), Lakeitha Smith (TX) and only grandchild (Kyndall Fears) (TX), his loving Sisters, (Twin), Norma Jean Sterling (TX), Erma Jean Lawson (TX), Josephine Glenn (TX), Patricia Smith (MD), Ernestine Moore (AR) and loving Brothers, Jerry Smith (OH), James Earl Smith (OH), John Hill (AR), and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends
