Helen Marie Brazil

Helen Marie Brazil was born March 15, 1946 in Dallas, TX and was called home to be with the Lord at the age of 73 on May 23, 2019.  She obtained her education through Dallas Independent School District, and worked in the Home Health Care Field taking care of the elderly. She is preceded in death by her husband: Leslie Braziel, mother: Thelma Parks, brother: Thurman Williams, and daughter: Murtis Williams.

Helen is survived by her children: Beatrice Brazil, Sophronia Miles (Wayne Miles), Donald Brazil; her grandchildren: Victoria Brazil, Jeremy Brazil, Christopher Miles, Candace Miles, Elexus Williams, Lenise Brazil, Donald Hodge, Antonio Brazil, Natasha Brazil, Brandon Brazil, Justice Brazil, Kayah Brazil, Donencia Brazil, and Jamecia Brazil; her sisters: Alice Wesley, Sophronia Harris, Myra Dunn, Laura Dunn; her brother: Louis Dunn and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and extended family.

She was a servant to the the Lord, and enjoyed serving those around her. She loved cooking for everyone and one of her greatest joys was being surrounded by family. She attended Prince of Peace Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of T.F. Garrison, as very active member. She was the President of the Pastor-Aid Program, Vice President of the choir, and served in the mission program. Helen was Mama and Big Mama to every person she encountered. She had an open house if you needed a place to stay, an ear if you had a funny story or needed someone to hear you vent, she was wisdom if you sought advice. She was unconditional love, nonjudgmental, forgiving, and a prayer warrior for you. Helen will be missed by many.

Mrs. Helen Brazil was a very joyful and friendly person. Whenever Mrs. Brazil came to have her blood drawn she would always prefer her favorite Phlebotomists Stephanie, Cynthia or Ms. Mary. it would always be a joy to see her also. She will truly be missed by the Quest family @ Baylor RLA. We will continue to pray for the family. Know that God heals all wounds. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
