D’Neece Lavonne Lewis Hill, 67,of Dallas, Texas passed away on January 14, 2024. She was born in Dallas, Texas, on March 25, 1956, to Melvin Mason and J’Neece Lewis Mason, who both preceded her in death.
D’Neece attended all Dallas Independent School District schools graduating from Franklin D. Roosevelt High School, Class of 1974. After graduation, she headed South to Texas Southern University for one year, ultimately returning home to attend and graduate from El Centro College with a degree in Nursing. She then went on to pursue a career in nursing for over 45 years. D’Neece dedicated most of her nursing career to the geriatric field working in many local nursing homes and assisted living facilities. She had a heart for the elderly and was quite passionate about their care. She recently concluded her nursing career at United Health Care due to her recent illness.
D'Neece was a proud and active member of the Church of Christ on Pemberton Hill Road for the last 17 years. She was Co-Secretary of the church, an active member of the Pemberton Hill Choir and an Angel for Seniors. She loved her church family and became close friends with many during her years of membership. She enjoyed community work with God’s Women of Purpose working in outreach projects across the city. She enjoyed trying new restaurants, fun outings with friends and shopping was her favorite pastime.
She is survived by her only daughter, Kendy; one grandson, Zion; Sister, Joann (Andrew); 7 nieces and 2 nephews; cousin, Danyel, and a host of other relatives & close friends.
